Chan Chan



Learn about one of the biggest and most fascinating civilatiions that lived on northern Peru.
Chan Chan is not only the higgest city made of mud in South America, but also it is part of the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

This city was built by Chimú people, who were the hardest civilation to conquer by the Incas. In this tour you will have the chance to visit Nik-an, one of the 11 palaces in Chan Chan, where tourist learn about their life stile, gods, traditions and art. They developed a 600 km long civilization and found interesting ways to survive and irrigate their planting on the desert.

Also, you will have the chance to visit the museum where most of visitors are fascinated by their incredible skills to work with metal. Apart from that, you will see why this ancient civilization is considered the first surfers in the history.
They created Caballitos de Totora, famous small boats made of cattail (reed), in which they fished and surfed on the Pacific Ocean.
